close it!
I worked there and was let go after notifying vthe police department of an employee threatening me and I informed the nurse manager several times of this employee behavior and she refused to address that emplyees behavior and address the dangerous situation of not having only one taff on the acute male floor to do the work of several employess. This same manager who allows her close relative to work there after being caught stealing narcotics and at times substituting other similar looking meds in the narcotic packets which could have cause the death of patients had they been given these meds and had alleric reaction. The nurse manager had refused to address my concerns of patients safety and unethically let me go.

For Goodness sakes, close it down NOW!
For Goodness sakes, close it down NOW!: DIRTY, foul odors, (most unrecognizable), insensitive poorly educated & non motivated nursing staff. Race nor gender made little difference, almost everyone was there for one reason, "The day the eagle flies". To bad someone doesn't have the authority (or kahoonas) to lock that eagle away for a month or two. Til you get some truely honest, trustworthy and dedicated work out of these employees.Come-on Upper Man and Admin. be a He-Man, She-Man and take back control of the only facility available to the sick and elderly of Mid South St. Louis, MO. I'm quite certain there are several Alexians on Signal Mountain, just rollin in their graves. SAD, isn't it?. SO very, very SAD. I would venture to assume Bro. Ratley has probably walked the halls several times since his death in pure animate disgust. All sarcassam aside, the nursing skills I've witnessed with both stomach staplings 1-4 days post-op has frieghtened me as a nurse educator. I have made my timely (very early)request over again to the Dean of students to feverously seek a more appropriate environment, condusive to the learning modes of Critical Thinking the Nursing Process, Infection Control, and a well contemplate yet swift shift in paradigms as to the caveat in your rcent method of containment, (excuse me, lack there-of) for the ever increasingly freighten episodes of nosocomial fections. I do say with the utmost of respect, if it weren't for nosocomial infections, your increasingly astounding number of MD F/U OV in the ED, and last but not least, your exceptionally advanced and increased practice shall I say, "DEFENSIVE MEDICINE, then you would almost indoubiously be in the :Proverbial" RED Thank you in advance for allowing me to share my thoughts, concerns and opinion, Deep in my heart and soul I feel for the entire Alexian "Family". It just wasn't like that when we were there.
P,S. PLEASE forgive my spelling and grammer, it's 0115. With Regards.
Yours in Christ,
Mattie and Me
