This is a GREAT practice! They absolutely will let the parents come back and see the chairs and rooms, and the space is AMAZING! Kids do really well, cleaning & care chairs are all together, lots of kids playing games. My 3 year-old bounded through the doors, was excited and happy at his first appointment!

What a scary place. Site unseen, Dr. Hollandar wanted to restrain my child simply because she has Down Syndrome. He had never met her, or seen her. He told us it is simply his policy to restain special needs patients. He has many that just come in and know they will be restained. He had never met my child! How dare he prejudge like that. Well guess what, it isn't my policy, and we left!!

My children have been going to see Dr. Albrect for 14 years. In 2007, due to a family emergency I was living out of town and unable to bring my daughters in for their check ups. I recently called for an appointment and was told that they would have to call me back to schedual an appointment. Three weeks later I tired of waiting and called the office again. I was again told they would have to call me back. When I recieved their call I was flabergasted. I was told that my children being 12 and 16 were to old to be new paitents. I informed the woman on the phone that they were not new paitents. She said I should schedual with another practice. I have witnessed 18 year olds being patients at their practice. It has not even been 2 years since they have last seen my children. Their other doctors had no problem schedualing them for appointments. Why does Dr. Albrect. This is really upsetting. Before today I would and have recommended this practice to everyone I know.

Is restraining children while in the denstist chair still part
Is restraining children while in the denstist chair still part of this practice procedures? Upon arrival Dr. Hollander informed us that our special needs child would have to be restrained while there. He had NEVER even met or seen our child. He prejudged her only because she has Downs Syndrome and said that was the practice in his office that all special needs children were restrained while there. We didn't stay for the office visit after that. Is he restraining your child?
