I will start this by saying I have NEVER written a bad review on a product or company but I honestly feel I have no choice. Jeff is bad news. I wish I had taken the other bad reviews on this site more seriously before going there! I wanted to patronize a local business Vs. taking my laptop to Geek Squad or Micro Center. MISTAKE! My backlight on my laptop screen was out (a common issue for Sony Vaio laptops). I took my laptop to Jeff...he said it is likely the screen, promptly charged me $100 up front (Micro Center only charges $45) and said he will be in touch. I had to follow up with that week, next week, and into the following week on the progress. They never called me. He then said my laptop was ready, and to stop by. I told him I would be there in 1.5 hours. He said ok. When I arrived my laptop wasn't ready so I waited 45 minutes for them to bring it down. Not only was it NOT fixed the screen was completely black (before I could shine a flashlight on the screen and see Windows running). He said the motherboard was out and it would be a month or so before he could fix. I took the laptop to Micro Center. They charged me $45. Called me regularly to update me on the progress but ultimately could not fix as they could not read serial numbers from the bottom of my laptop and the screen/external display was dead so they couldn't get the information they needed to order parts. THEY GAVE ME THE $45 back. I called Jeff back very frustrated that they had now left me with a computer that was in worse shape than when I brought it in (prior to taking it to Jeff's I used me external monitor to use the computer). Micro Center could not fix and I could not use. He said to bring it back in. I reluctantly did as I had nothing to lose at this point plus I had already purchased a new laptop. After dropping off I decided I would not call him to see how long it would take before they would call me with an update. I waited A MONTH. Finally I called him and asked him the status. i have worked with this company quite a bit and have refferred several customers there if i cannot help them. i get many parts from here and i have never been dissatisfied. the technical staff there is fantastic. Bret and Rob worked on my computer and they did an excellent job making sure that i was kept up to date on everything happening in the shop. if you can find a better place to have your computer looked at then great, but i promise no one is more qualified than the techs at jeff computers‎

I have got many things from Jeff Computers from that little fan on a CPU to an entire Computer system. Each time I go there I am very well taken care of. I have never even thought about going anywhere else because they have everything you need and more. The service was excellent and my PC was up and running better than when I had first bought it.‎

Never, and I repeat, NEVER, take your computer to Jeff Computers on Manchester Road. What a joke. Brought in my computer that was overheating, paid 80 dollars for the first hour of repair to fix the fan. They called me back to tell me I had a bad motherboard that would be 399 and guess what, they didn't even LOOK at... the fan. Now, if this was any normal person that doesn't know much about computers, they may have said, "Yeah, go ahead and fix that." But don't try to take advantage of me. I let Jeff have it. Told him he did bad busines and that I was writing to the BBB (of which I already did). Guess what, he has been calling me as a private caller all day. I answered once and he tried to tell me that since he is an Eagle Scout, he should be trusted. I told him I was once a Girl Scout. Then, get this, he compared my computer to surgery. A friend had suggested Dimensions Computer Repair in this area and unfortunately it was closed both times we tried to drop off our HP Laptop. We left it with Jeff's Computer instead and boy do we regret it. They actually quoted us a price and then we we went to pick it up without them fixing anything, they doubled the amount. Then they attempted to give it to us broken down in a box! and only when we complained did they put it back together...to make matters worse they actually broke the computer and when we got it home the machine would not even boot up. These guys are terrible and they will rip you off. DON'T GO THERE!!! SAVE YOURSELF‎
