We just had our daughters wedding at the Franklin Room. The new owners, Michelle and Doug are absolutely wonderful to work with. The hall is very beautiful and we received compliments all night long. We had 2 carving stations, one with turkey and the other roast beef, also his homemade moscocialli and salad and rolls, FANTASTIC! They went beyond our expectations to make all of our guest happy, we have no complaints.

We just held our wedding reception this November at the Franklin Room and had a great experience. I had read the previous reviews and was a little nervous about our wedding being there, but all in all, the night was great. Some pros: food was good. Not the best I've ever had, but definitely good (we had the carved roast beef and ham as our meats.) It was hot, fresh, and there was plenty for everyone. The price is extremely affordable. The servers and staff are very polite. The room is beautiful and not like many others in St. Louis. It does not have the banquet room feel to it and we loved the high ceilings and all hardwood floors. Cons: very strict guidelines. Gary and Hank, the two managers, definitely have their own way of doing things. There are specific rules, but if you're not a Bridezilla you will be fine. Another con is that you only have the venue for four hours. We hoped to extend our until midnight, but had to end at eleven. Overall, I would definitely recommend this to friends and we received many compliments. If we did it over, we would still have it at The Franklin Room.

My wife and I had a very bad experience planning a wedding reception at the hall.
The 2 older managers are very difficult to work with and promise the world. Seating was a huge problem! They kept changing their story abotut how many people they could accomodate in a uniformed manner. We were not allowed to taste the food. We only allowed a limited time to decorate the hall before the wedding. We ended up not having our reception at the facility because the story kept changing.
The 2 guys would not give our deposit back. I should have listened to friends in St. Louis. Many folks told me not to have a reception due to their personal experiences at the hall. We should have listened.
Please look elsewhere because you will be disappointed. It's the most important day of your life and we are lucky we did not have the event at the Franklin Room.

The owner is very difficult to work with at the Franklin Room. Dishonest and can not be trusted with preparing your reception/party at the hall.
Food is not good and watered down drinks. Price is great but the preparation and results are terrible.
