The Bagel Factory is a no frills bakery that makes real bagels. It is the only place in St. Louis that I have found that makes bagels the way they are supposed to be made -- crusty on the outside and dense and moist on the inside, and packed with flavor. Most places in St. Louis make what I call "sandwich bagels" -- not horrible, but confusing size with quality. This place does not even try to be a restaurant, nor does it make a huge variety of baked goods -- although what they do make is also good. Want to sit and have coffee and a sandwich? Go elsewhere.
